CM: HOW FAR IS IT APT TO CLOSE TWITTER HANDLE?
Vadodra: On BJP’s latest poll slogan “Aa Gujarat, mai banavyu chhe” (I have made this Gujarat), which implies that the people of Gujarat have built this state, Gehlot said the state was strong even before Independence.
“Gujarat is made by Gujaratis (not by BJP). The state was strong even before Independence because of industries. But now, BJP’s misgovernance is getting exposed,” said Gehlot. On Congress’ preparedness for the polls, scheduled in two phases on December 1 and 5, Gehlot said, “It is being deliberately spread by some people that Congress is not in the picture. We are very much on the ground and our campaign is also going strong. I can say with confidence that our support base in villages is still intact”.
Gehlot addressed the Parivarnat Sankalp Yatra along with prominent leaders in Asodara, Anand and Anklav.
“There is no discussion of Gujarat model, Gujarat model will not work anywhere. BJP is destabilising governments in other states of the country. BJP is doing horse-trading of MLAs in the country,” he said.
On the question of BJP leader Jaynarayan Vyas, CM Gehlot said that he has left the party. This is a big deal.
Interacting with the media in Vadodara, Gehlot welcomed the SC’s decision on EWS. About closure of Twitter handle of Bharat Jodo Yatra, CM said if a song is played then what happened. “How far is it appropriate to close the Twitter handle? Is this called democracy in the country?,” he asked.
Gujarat in-charge Dr Raghu Sharma was also present with Gehlot.
