The juries of the First Miss India put on their mentor hats as the pageant night nears

Mumbai (Maharashtra): First Miss India is coming up with the second season of the prestigious beauty pageant and it promises to be grander and more enigmatic than the last one. Looking forward to the final night of the awe-inspiring event, the three extremely talented and prestigious jury members of First Miss India shared their thoughts on the upcoming season and their love for fashion, glamour and the glorious beauty pageant. Iris Maity, Namrata Sharma and Kavita Kharayat are some renowned and respected names in the world of fashion and their participance in the First Miss India event surely have increased its glamour quotient.

Talking about the pageant, Iris Maity described it as a beautiful initiative to give young talent a chance to get recognized by the nation. Namrata Sharma stated that the First Miss India platform is giving aspiring models a stage to showcase their talent. “These pageants bring so much for you that’s unexpected,” she said. Meanwhile, Kavita Kharayat has nothing but praise for the girls who participate and shared her excitement to be a part of the prestigious occasion.

Sharing how they have decided to carry out their duty as a judge, Iris and Namrata agreed that being on both sides is nerve-racking. Iris stated, “Being a judge is tough because you have to be impartial, neutral and level-headed when you ask the question. You have to understand their point of view as well.” Namrata recalled how she used to ask herself what the judges would be thinking when she used to walk the ramp. “I am looking for girls who are not trying to become someone else but have confidence in themselves and do not possess a fake over-confident personality”, she said.

Kavita, who is recognized as one of the top supermodels in India listed out that loving what you are doing makes out a great model. “A model’s job is to showcase the garment she is wearing beautifully. It is not just about looking beautiful but how you display yourself on the ramp,” she stated. Iris tipped that making a person’s uniqueness their superpower is the ticket to success. Whereas Namrata listed confidence to be the winning quotient for a model’s prosperity.

The three beautiful ladies agreed on such pageants to be a great window and exposure for aspiring young models to fulfil their dreams and get recognized in the fashion industry. Iris looked back at her own experience where she got recognized at a fashion event when she least expected it. “I had gone for some event when I was in college where Upen Patel noticed me and I had no idea about it. When I got a call from his office, I thought was a prank call before I realised it was actually him!” the actress revealed.

“Consistency and patience are the keys in this field,” Namrata shared the sensible advice.

“I have been modelling since 1998 and it’s been a great journey which is why I am still stuck here”, Kavita joked before signing off.
