I forgave, moved on a long time ago and then I made my peace with it: Priyanka Chopra on being cornered in Bollywood

In a podcast, Priyanka Chopra discussed her most recent revelations, which included being treated unfairly in Bollywood. While many praised Priyanka for overcoming her past and emerging stronger, several questioned why she has remained silent over the years.

Priyanka said, without naming any names, that she was driven out of Bollywood because she was fed up with politics and had a falling out with several people on a recent episode of Dax Shepherd's podcast Armchair Expert. She also discussed being in a "tumultuous relationship," which is how she met her future husband Nick Jonas, on the same podcast.

When asked about why she decided to speak up now about the past, Priyanka Chopra said, “I think, first of all, when I was on the podcast I was asked about the journey of my life. And, I spoke about when I was young when I was 10, 15, 22, 30, 40 or whatever…So I was talking about the truth of my journey and now because I was confident enough to talk about that phase of my life.”

“I think now where I am… I was okay enough to kind of articulate what I felt. I had a very tumultuous relationship with…what occurred, I forgave, moved on a long time ago and then I made my peace with it. I think that's why it was easy for me to talk about it in an open manner in a safe space,” she added.
