Varun Dhawan is hurt while filming Atlee's VD18; he updates his fans and says, "I have no idea how I hurt my leg."
The Jawan filmmaker Atlee and Bollywood star Varun Dhawan are working on an action-packed movie that is currently going by the working title VD18. He began filming for the project last month and is well known for his commitment to his roles and personalities. There has been a slight setback, though. The actor needed medical attention while filming a scene, so he used this official social media account to notify his worried followers.
The actor is seen seated on a countertop in his bathroom in the video he uploaded on his Instagram stories on Wednesday night. He appears to be immersing his wounded foot in an ice bath in his washbasin while wearing a blue shirt and shorts, which is a useful method for relieving pain. He can be heard saying that he has “no idea how he hurt his leg” and proceeds to show how he is taking care of the injury.
As soon as the video appeared online, followers began to worry for Varun's wellbeing. He has previously suffered injuries while filming VD18. He also has an elbow injury, where he had shared a photo with the caption, “No pain, no gain, VD18.” Netizens have been flooding social media with get well soon messages.
Speaking of VD18, Atlee and Murad Khetani are responsible for the film's production. The film, which was directed by Tamil director Kalees, also prominently featured Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi. According to reports, the movie will be released in May 2024.
On the professional front, Varun Dhawan most recently appeared in Janhvi Kapoor's Bawaal, a critically panned film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. On July 21, it became available on Amazon Prime Video. He is now working on Bhediya 2, a follow-up to his 2022 horror comedy, as well as Citadel, which also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
