Veteran Actor Ashish Vidyarthi TIES THE KNOT with Rupali Barua at the age of 60 in Kolkata
At the age of 60, national award-winning actor Ashish Vidyarthi got married a second time. In Kolkata, he wed fashion businesswoman Rupali Barua. According to reports, the pair wed privately in a Kolkata club, and photos from the event have already appeared online. In the viral images, Ashish could be seen sporting a flower garland around his neck while dressed as a groom in a cream-colored Sherwani. Everyone was shocked to see the actor's wedding images.
Rupali was captured on camera sporting an Assamese Mekhela Chador that was white and golden. She accessorised the appearance with some golden jewellery that was modelled after South Indian temple art. According to reports, just their close family and friends attended their little wedding. The actor from Ziddi informed Times Of India that he is feeling 'extraordinary' about marrying Rupali. The actor was quoted saying, “At this stage of my life, getting married to Rupali is an extraordinary feeling. We had a court marriage in the morning, followed by a get-together in the evening.”
Arth, the son of Rajoshi Barua and Ashish, was their child from a previous marriage. After they split up, the actor fell in love with Rupali and they were married after dating for a while. Rupali, a native of Guwahati, is the proprietor of a clothing business in Kolkata. When asked about how the two met, Ashish had told the newspaper, “Oh, that's a long story. Will share it some other time.” Rupali added, “We met some time ago and decided to take it forward. But both of us wanted our wedding to be a small family affair.”
She also discussed what attracted her to Ashish, who has primarily played dark and challenging parts in the business. Rupali praised the actor and called him a “beautiful human being and a great soul to be with.”
