Sara Ali Khan reveals feeling ridiculous when people call her a Royal Princess

Sara Ali Khan is all set to play a distressed woman who is returning to her home, a princely estate to find her missing father in Gaslight. The actor herself is sort of a princess — her father Saif Ali Khan is the tenth Nawab of Pataudi. 

But the Kedarnath actress does not associate herself with royals despite her lineage. In a recent interview she spoke about having a normal upbringing in Mumbai and living a simple life away from royalty.

The actor said, “I find it ridiculous when people think that. I don’t associate myself as a royal.” Sharing how she is very much a Mumbai girl, she added, “I’ve lived in Juhu in Mumbai most of my life with my mother. I go to Bandra to meet my dad. I holiday in Himachal Pradesh and Kedarnath and Jammu and Kashmir. Like seriously, I don’t know what royal means.”

After Gaslight Her next release will be Laxman Utekar’s untitled film with Vicky Kaushal. The actor is now shooting Homi Adajania’s next Mubarak.
