Sam Bahadur is 'sandwiched' between Katrina Kaif's Tiger 3 and Merry Christmas, says Vicky Kaushal

Bollywood is in the midst of a hectic period with a number of noteworthy releases scheduled for the near future. Sam Bahadur, the much awaited biography starring Vicky Kaushal, is scheduled to premiere on December 1. Today's release of the movie's teaser has increased anticipation. It's interesting to note that Katrina Kaif, Vicky's wife, is also quite busy at the same time with movie releases. While another movie, Merry Christmas, debuts only a week after Vicky's film, her flick Tiger 3 is set for release a few weeks prior, on Diwali. Vicky observed the circumstance during the teaser premiere, joking that his movie is "sandwiched" between Katrina's flicks.

Vicky Kaushal was asked about his wife Katrina Kaif's movie Merry Christmas coming out one week after his own during the Sam Bahadur teaser event today in Mumbai. In response, Vicky commented, “She is excited for my film, I am excited for her film. She has a film a week after my film (Merry Christmas) and a film 2 weeks before my film too (Tiger 3). So my film is sandwiched between two films of Katrina Kaif.”

Meghna Gulzar's film Sam Bahadur explores the life of Sam Manekshaw, India's first field marshal. Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, and other standout actors have significant parts in the movie. The recently released trailer, which features a transforming performance by Vicky, who is almost unrecognizable in his character, gives an intriguing sneak peek inside the film. Also playing the part of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi is Fatima. The movie is slated to release on the same day as Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, which will compete with it.

In Tiger 3, the third entry in the Tiger franchise and a part of YRF's espionage world, Katrina Kaif is slated to reprise her role as the fearsome spy Zoya. The eagerly awaited teaser will debut on October 16. The Salman Khan starrer is then prepared to illuminate the screens on Diwali, giving the audience a seasonal treat.

Additionally, on December 8, Sriram Raghavan and Vijay Sethupathi's Merry Christmas, which also stars Katrina, will be released in theatres.
