Pooja Entertainment Backed Cuttputlli Turned Most Streamed In 2022, Feat. Akshay & Rakul

Superstar Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet Starrer Cuttputlli, a psychological crime thriller has become the most viewed films of 2022. 

As per a report by media consulting firm Ormax, Disney+ Hotstar led the most streamed movies and series list for year 2022, with Pooja Entertainment’s Cuttputlli topping the list with a whopping 26.9 million views. 

The murder mystery also starred Sargun Mehta, Joshua LeClair, Chandrachur Singh and Hrishita Bhatt. The film opened with rave reviews for nuanced performances, gripping narrative and high production and pretty soon climbed the streaming hours. 

Pooja Entertainment stands tall by producing appealing and new content, and with Cuttputlli, the streaming giant Disney+ Hotstar was able to lead the viewership of Hindi language OTT originals in India in 2022. The platform streamed seven out of the top 15 most-watched original shows and films, and Cuttputlli topping the list, as per Ormax report. 

2022 was the year of content, heavy contenders such as Drishyam 2, Kantara, Cuttputli, KGF, Gangubai and more pushed the boundaries of content spectrum. 

Pooja Entertainment’s Cuttputlli, has been the most watched across the entire OTT spectrum. Movies such as A Thursday, Govinda Naam Mera, Freddy on Hotstar, along with Gehraiyaan on Amazon Prime Video, were close but nothing as compared to Cuttputlli in streaming views. 

Earlier in 2020, Akshay Kumar starrer Laxmi broke the streaming records, and he followed it with Cuttputlli in 2022, hence he has topped the list of of top ten male Hindi film stars, released by media insights firm Ormax.
