Only a miracle can save Raju Srivastava: Ahsaan Qureshi

Delhi: The deteriorating health of ace comedian Raju Srivastava has concerned the entire film fraternity. Right from comedians to actors, everyone is praying for his speedy recovery. But it seems that the 58-year-old's condition has declined further with the doctors stating that only a miracle can save him now. Fellow comedian and Raju's The Great Indian Laughter Challenge co-contestant, Ahsaan Qureshi revealed that Raju has been anounced brain dead now and is currently on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit of AIIMS Delhi.

In a chat with Pinkvilla, Ahsaan said, "Doctors have given up. They've told the family that they could do whatever possible to save him, and now only a miracle can save him. The news about his death is untrue, the doctors have said that his brain is dead. His condition is very critical. We all friends are praying and chanted Hanuman Chalisa a few minutes ago."

He further requested everyone to pray for the actor's good health.

Raju Srivastava recently collapsed while exercising in the gym. He was running on the treadmill when he suddenly complained of chest pain. His trainer took him to the hospital immediately and an angioplasty was performed on him the same day.
