Luck might open doors for you, but it’s your hard work and determination that truly matter: Shubhangi Atre

The entertainment industry is quite unpredictable, and luck plays a huge role in bagging opportunities. But is it only luck that takes an actor's place? Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai! actor Shubhangi Atre strongly disagrees. She feels it’s an actor’s hard work and determination that enable them to climb up the ladder to success.
 
“I believe in luck, but I see it as more of a chance-giver. Luck might open doors for you, but it’s your hard work and determination that truly matter. I think luck contributes about 40%, while the remaining 60% comes from your effort, consistency, and dedication,” she said.
 
Well, it’s not just luck that Shubhangi believes in. She also strongly believes in the power of manifestation, and practices it every day. She added, “However, it’s not just about wishing for something and waiting for it to happen; you need to put in effort too. If your intentions are pure and your hard work matches your desires, manifestation can truly work wonders. I believe that cosmic energies play a role in helping us achieve our goals.”
 
Shubhangi also shared that her entry in the industry was nothing less than magical. “I auditioned in Pune and ended up shooting in Mumbai right away. Initially, I lacked experience and confidence in acting, but luck gave me a big break with a prime time show called Kasturi within just one month. Despite being a beginner, I learned and improved over time through hard work, dedication, and observation,” she said.
 
“I believe in the power of positive energy and the concept of manifesting our desires strongly, as mentioned in The Secret. My entry into Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai was another sudden opportunity, and despite the responsibility of replacing someone, I embraced it with hard work and dedication. I’ve learned that putting positive effort into anything yields results,” she added.
 
While Shubhangi feels that education is not very important in the industry, she shared her personal experience and said, “Even though my MBA isn’t directly related to my profession, it has helped me with multitasking, time management, and financial management. It’s an added benefit to my overall personality. I think completing your education is important because it exercises your brain and enhances your skills.”
 
And do you believe goodwill and references make a difference? “Goodwill and references truly matter. The most important thing is to be kind, a good person, and extremely professional. In our industry, everything seems to revolve around word of mouth, which makes reputation crucial,” she said.

“Consistency, punctuality, and professionalism leave a lasting impression. I remember when I was working with Rajshri Productions, the late Raj Barjatya told me that being a good human is as important as being a good actor in this industry. So, I believe being a good person comes first, and success follows in whatever field you choose,” Shubhangi ended.
