Lord Ram, Sita, and Other Religious Characters Are Offensively Represented in Adipurush, according to the court! 'Is It A Test Of The Community's Patience?'

The Adipurush film, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, was criticised by the Allahabad High Court on Tuesday for its offensive depictions of holy figures including Lord Rama, Lord Hanuman, and Sita.

The most recent event happened after the court heard many petitions against Om Raut's masterpiece. A DNA report quoted the court saying, “The kind of dialogues that are there in the film... it's a big issue. Ramayana is an example for the people. It is venerated. People step out of their homes after reading the Ramcharitmanas.”

The Censor Board was also criticised by the bench when it was queried about its actions before the release of Adipurush. The court said, “Some things should not have been tinkered with.”

"Agar hum log iss par bhi aankh band kar len kyonki yeh kaha jaata hai ki yeh dharm ke log bade sahishnu gain, toh kya uska test liya jayega? (Should we close our eyes just because it is said that people of a particular religion are said to be tolerant? Is this a test of tolerance?" the court added.

It also maintained, “It was good that the people did not harm law and order after watching the film.”

The High Court has before questioned, "What does the censor board keep doing? What do you hope to impart to the next generations?

The producer, director, and other parties were missing throughout the hearing, which was also questioned by the court.
