Karan Johar thanks Sidharth Malhotra for bringing the ‘Shershaah’ story to him

Sidharth Malhotra’s blockbuster film Shershaah, has just won the Special Jury Award at the 69th National Film Awards. This award comes as the icing on the cake for a film that has received much love and admiration across the globe.

Present at Delhi to receive the award were Shershaah’s Producer, Karan Johar and Director Vishnuvardhan. Posting a video of this momentous achievement on his Instagram handle, Karan Johar thanked Sidharth Malhotra for bringing this project to him and Dharma. Karan Johar also went on to thank Sidharth’s wife and co-star Kiara Advani, director Vishnuvardhan, the scriptwriter and the other supporting cast members.

In his caption, he wrote - A momentous day for us all.

And continued to play the role of Captain Vikram Batra like no one could!
