Karan Johar denies making Dhadak 2! Gives clarification turning down all the speculations!

On Monday, headlines were generated by the news that Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri would appear in Dhadak 2. One day later, director Karan Johar refuted claims that the movie is being made by his Dharma Productions company. Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter appeared in the original, which was also Janhvi's debut movie.

On Tuesday, Karan Johar took to Instagram Stories and denied being associated with the Dhadak 2. He wrote, “To put this on the record and for all concerned we (Dharma Productions) are NOT making a film with the title DHADAK 2 as is being reported in various articles...”

On Wednesday, a news portal exclusively claimed Karan was all set to spin Dhadak into a franchise. The source quoted, “Dhadak was essentially an intense tale of love, with two protagonists fighting the society to live together. The filmmaker believes that this zone of going against all odds for love has potential to get a franchise value. After contemplating on several subjects, the filmmaker has greenlit a subject that qualifies to be a sequel to Dhadak."
