Kanwar Dhillon on men wearing make up: It was a taboo, not anymore

Kanwar Dhillon who is seen in Rahul Kumar Tewary and Rolling Tales Production’s Udne Ki Aasha, says that he has observed a significant shift in societal norms regarding men and makeup. Once considered a taboo, makeup for men has now become commonplace. Kanwar believes this change reflects a more inclusive and progressive society, where equality between genders is increasingly valued.

He shares, "It was indeed a taboo until a few years ago, but things have changed now. Makeup and fashion have become more inclusive." Kanwar emphasizes that just as women have the autonomy to choose whether or not to wear makeup, men should have the same freedom. This, he suggests, is a matter of personal expression and choice rather than something dictated by traditional gender roles.

The actor appreciates the evolving societal attitudes that no longer stigmatize men for using makeup. "We're living in a very progressive world, and it's a good space to be in," he notes. He highlights that allowing everyone to participate in makeup and fashion fosters a sense of individual freedom and equality. "To each their own. When it comes to makeup, why should only girls have all the fun!" he adds with a smile, advocating for breaking down gender barriers in beauty and self-expression.
