Johnny Depp lavishly spends Rs 48 lakhs at an Indian restaurant in London after the historic win in Defamation trial

Birmingham (England): The world witnessed one of the most publicized court trials in history with the Depp vs Heard defamation case. Johnny Depp had sued Amber Heard for $50 million for defaming him after she indirectly named him for domestic violence. Heard then countersued Depp for $100 million. After each trial day was watched and after the world had taken their respective sides, everyone waited with bated breath for the final verdict.

After the juries unanimously voted in favour of Johnny and the judge gave a positive verdict for him, it changed how the world looked at domestic abuse and unknowingly gave voice to every person in an abusive relationship.

However, Johnny was not present on the final day and instead was touring the UK with musician friend Jeff Beck. During their tour, the two took a break from their schedule and enjoyed a nice meal in an Indian restaurant in Birmingham on June 5. The duo approximately splurged a whopping amount of Rs 48 lakhs as they gorged on some chicken tikka masala, king prawn bhuna and some champagne and cocktail among others.

Depp seemed to have enjoyed his time at the luxury restaurant as he smiled with the staff for some pictures.

Johnny Depp had lost a lot of projects after Amber Heard released an op-ed in the Washington Post where she called herself a ‘public figure representing domestic abuse’. To save his name that was being dragged through the mud and to prove his statement that Heard was the actual abuser in the relationship, Depp had filed the defamation case.
