Janhvi Kapoor remembers her late mum on Mother's Day, with an emotional note

Mother's Day was on May 14, and our B-town superstars honoured their devoted mothers with heartfelt tributes. Actress Janhvi Kapoor became upset as she paid tribute to her late mother, actress Sridevi, during the event. She shared a precious childhood photo of herself in which a little Janhvi was seen laying her cheek on her mother's face as they posed for the ideal photograph. The actress also wrote Sridevi a heartfelt letter in which she referred to her as the ‘best mum in the world.’

Janhvi shared a wonderful childhood memory with her late mother on her Instagram account, “running out of pictures but never out of memories. The best mumma in the world. You keep me going always I miss you.” In the cute throwback picture, Sridevi was seen holding a young Janhvi as they rested their faces next to each other while smiling for the camera. While the late actor wore a T-shirt, Janhvi looked cute in a printed white and blue frock. Fans, as well as celebs, were all hearts for this beautiful candid picture.

Reacting to the post, South superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kajol, Sanjay Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Maheep Kapoor, and Natasha Poonawalla dropped red heart emojis. One fan commented, “We miss you Sridevi ji.”

Khushi Kapoor, Janhvi's sister, also shared an old photo of the two of them. The actress discussed the death of her mother Sridevi during her appearance on Koffee with Karan Season 7 and recalled that life now felt like a "fantasy." Janhvi shared, “It almost feels that the person I was when mom was around was a fantasy. And the life I had then was a fantasy. I mean, of course, there were issues like every family has, but it was idyllic and it seems almost like a dream.”

For those who are unaware, Srivedi, a venerable figure in Hindi film, died on February 24, 2018, after accidentally drowning in a bathtub in her Dubai hotel room.
