From 'I Do' to 'Where Are You?' – COLORS’ ‘Megha Barsenge’ showcases the plight of abandoned brides

very girl dreams of a fairytale-like wedding, but amid these aspirations lurks a silent crisis - the heartbreaking plight of abandoned brides whose hopes are puffed out by fraudster grooms. These men extract exorbitant dowries with false promises of a shared future abroad, leaving their brides in a state of perpetual waiting and dealing with society’s judgement. Staying true to its DNA of socially conscious content, COLORS is all set to shed light on this often-overlooked issue of bride abandonment with its new offering ‘Megha Barsenge’. This marital drama stars Neha Rana (essaying the role of Megha), Neil Bhatt (essaying the role of Arjun) and Kinshuk Mahajan (essaying the role of Manoj). The upcoming show whirls around Megha charting a new path for herself and seeking answers to the questions that her runaway husband leaves behind in his wake. Will the storm of deception and pain give way to a new dawn of hope and empowerment?

Excited to essay the role of Megha, Neha Rana says, “When I first read the script, I was instantly drawn to Megha's unbreakable spirit to pick up the pieces and seek answers after being abandoned by her husband. I hope that Megha's story inspires women to view their life as the beginning of a new chapter and not the end of their dreams and aspirations. I can't wait for the audiences to witness Megha’s journey of self-discovery, resilience, and empowerment.”
