Due to 'technical reasons,' Sunny Deol's bungalow auction notice was REVOKED; The actor will keep his Juhu Villa

After a bank listed a Sunny Deol-owned house for sale, the actor found himself at the centre of a scandal. The Bank of Baroda previously put the actor's villa, which is situated in Mumbai's upscale neighbourhood of Juhu, up for auction in order to recoup a debt that was provided to the actor. It was estimated to be about Rs 56 crore. Even the interest charged on the loan was sought by the bank. But now, claiming 'technical reasons,' the bank has pulled the e-auction notice for Sunny Deol's Juhu property.

A fresh notice stating that the sale notice has been withdrawn owing to technical difficulties was issued on Monday, August 21.

On Sunday, August 20, the Bank of Baroda apparently published the auction notice in a major newspaper. They have since released a correction.

An India Today report quoted the excerpt released by the bank which read: "Corrigendum to E Auction Sale Notice dated 19.08.2023 published in The Times of India Mumbai Edition (Pg.3) dated 20.08.2023 with regards to Sale Notice in respect of Mr. Ajay Sing Deol Alias Mr. Sunny Deol Stands Withdrawn due to Technical Reasons for the below mentioned Property :All That piece and parcel of land bearing Survey No. 41 Hissa No 5 (Pt) CTS No. 173 of Village Juhu Taluka Andheri Mumbai Suburban Dist, Admeasuring 599.44 Sq Mtrs underneath a structure known as Sunny Villa situated at Gandhigram Road Juhu Mumbai 400049. Bearing New Municipal assessment No. 00121047 situated in registration District and Sub district of Mumbai Suburban."

Sunny's staff also acknowledged the Sunday auction notice, stating that the sum stated was incorrect and that the actor will be paying off the debt within a few of days.

The original notification summarised Sunny Deol's true name, Ajay Singh Deol, his Juhu residence name, Sunny Villa, and other loan information. According to India Today, Sunny Deol's father Dharmendra Singh Deol, Bobby Deol, whose true name is Vijay Singh Deol, and Sunny Deol's firm Sunny Sounds Pvt Ltd were listed as guarantors and corporate guarantors for the loan that he had taken out from Bank of Baroda.

Sunny Villa is a villa in Juhu, Mumbai, which is situated off Gandhigram Road. According to rumours, the nearby land was auctioned off to pay back debts.

According to the report, the land is 599.44 square metres in size and is situated on a plot of property with the survey number Survey No. 41 Hissa No 5 (Pt) CTS No. 173 in the village of Juhu Taluka Andheri in the Mumbai Suburban District.

Sunny’s rep had responded to the matter and said, "We are in the process of resolving this issue and the issue will be resolved. We request no further speculation on the same."
