DON 3: WHAT, Ranveer Singh Replaces Shah Rukh Khan?

Fans have been impatiently awaiting Farhan Akhtar and Shah Rukh Khan's next collaboration on Don, one of their most anticipated franchises, for a number of years. Although the third instalment of the film has been in the works for a while, Pinkvilla previously claimed that the actor has chosen not to participate. He wanted to focus more on doing “commercial films that cater to the universal section of the audience.” Later reports of Ranveer Singh replacing SRK’s Don started doing rounds which left the fans disappointed. 

It appears that the creators are keen to move this new partnership ahead. Several media outlets have reported that Ranveer would star in the upcoming Don film and continue the popular series that Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan started. According to a tweet from a business source, the franchise will get a facelift. On the actor's birthday, which is the following week, the producers want to make a formal announcement. A small portion of online users has expressed their joy and excitement, while the bulk have expressed their anger. 

The crowd adored the Farhan Akhtar-directed film Don: The Chase Begins Again (2006), which was, for the uninitiated, a remake of Amitabh Bachchan's Don (1987). The Don 2: The King Is Back sequel, which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in key roles, was released in 2011. For more than a decade, fans have been impatiently awaiting the third instalment of the movie from its producers.

After a lacklustre box office performance, Ranveer will next be seen in Karan Johar's return to directing, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The ambitious production also features a large ensemble cast that includes Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Alia Bhatt. The pre-production phase of Farhan Akhtar's film Jee Le Zaraa, starring Priyanka Chopra, Alia, and Katrina Kaif, is presently underway.
