DID YOU KNOW that Saif Ali Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were first considered for the Kareena Kapoor Khan movie 'Jaane Jaan'?
With his new suspense-thriller Jaane Jaan, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vijay Varma, and Jaydeep Ahlawat, Bollywood director Sujoy Gosh is ready to dazzle the audience. The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino was the inspiration for the film. The Netflix movie's trailer, which debuted on Tuesday, has received overwhelmingly positive feedback on social media. But did you know that before casting Kareena as the lead actress, the filmmaker was interested in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Saif Ali Khan?
Sujoy was initially interested in bringing in Saif and Aishwarya for the film back in 2015, when he was working on the script, it was revealed during the movie's trailer premiere ceremony. Kareena ended up taking part in the eagerly awaited project, but it appears that fate had other intentions. The filmmaker talked about how everything in life eventually comes full circle when describing the actor Adipurush's connection to the film. He explained how like a ‘true husband’ Saif “shoved down his responsibilities on Kareena,” by making her a part of the project.
Kareena also discussed how her husband has been involved with the film from the beginning at the same occasion. She continued by describing how he is now more enthusiastic about it. She even revealed how Saif is excitedly anticipating the film's release and has repeatedly viewed and rewatched the teaser.
Regarding the leading actress, it was revealed that Sujoy had contacted Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the film back in 2015. The actress claimed to have signed two projects with the director of Kahaani in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. She was quoted by Bollywood Shaadis saying, “I’ve agreed to do Sujoy’s Durga Rani and the screen adaptation of Keigo Huganshino’s Japanese novel The Devotion Of Suspect X. I don’t know which one he will start first.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan most recently appeared with Aamir Khan in Laal Singh Chaddha. She is now working on The Crew and Hansal Mehta's next in addition to Sujoy Ghosh's Jaane Jaan, which is based on the Japanese bestseller The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino.
