Daler Mehndi : A Musical Trailblazer

Even after 27 years since his debut, he still rules the party chartbusters. Ranging from Bollywood to hit singles, from Bolo Tara Ra Ra to Garda Uda Diya, there is a song for every event. Daler Mehndi is a musical trailblazer in every essence. From his dancing scores to his musical notes, his fashion sense, and his vocal range, he continues to rule the hearts of millions of people across the globe. He spoke to Ashish Tiwari of First India in an exclusive conversation spoke about his journey and more.

Speaking on the love that’s he recieved through the years he said , “It’s the love of the audience and especially my family. Since Childhood I was told that i’ll be a singer . The one thing about my journey is that I have accepted whatever has come my way with open hands and heads down. That is the reason people shower so much love on me and my work”

Indeed he has been the man behind pop culture when asked why is he so choosy about the project he does he shared , “ I have struggled for around 18 years with all the allegations implied on me. Every month i had to visit the court twice a month so the struggle was very bad, but i knew i would win someday so i went through everything with a smile but now i am back and my song Gadbad love is coming and there’s a lot more for my fans that’s coming up this year”

Sharing what goes behind recording a classic he shared , “Whenever I am recording I am always scared i pray to the almighty that this life and voice is gifted by you i ask for the strength to deliver what I wish to do. Because life is very uncertain”

“I believe and trust in good , i have the will to do more so there’s so much left to do there will be wonders . Today even after so many years in every party from Kashmir to Kanyakumari my songs are played. So i know i have made a name but there’s alot more to achieve” he mentioned speaking on how he dealt with fame over years.
