Bellamkonda Sreenivas is all set for his debut in Hindi Film 'Chatrapathi' : "Would be excited if SS Rajamouli calls him after the film."

Bellamkonda Sreenivas, a rising star in Telugu, will make his Hindi film debut with Chatrapathi. In addition to Prabhas, the movie also stars Nushratt Bharuccha, Bhagyashree, and Sharad Kelkar. It is a remake of SS Rajamouli's 2005 smash success. At the unveiling of the movie's trailer on Tuesday, Sreenivas spoke candidly about breaking into the Hindi market and how his film differs from Rajamouli's.
Bellamkonda Sreenivas, who was overwhelmed by the enthusiastic cheers as he took the platform, started by expressing gratitude to everyone, especially the director VV Vinayak. He revealed that the director had given him his break and that Vinayak himself had coached the actor. For his pan-Indian debut, Sreenivas claimed that he could not have wished for a greater launch than Chatrapathi. He referred to it as one of the finest flicks and guaranteed that viewers will enjoy themselves while viewing it.
When the actor was questioned about if appearing in a Hindi movie was an attempt to create a new trend,he said, “There have been so many films that have been watched by people across the country. Actors like Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh have also been featured in Hindi films. Now, we have more access to content and that has made us reach every corner. For me, I just wanted to take on a new challenge. This is like climbing a mountain, I may fall but I will keep trying.”

Sreenivas also said that he would be excited if SS Rajamouli calls him after the film. “That would be a great moment for any actor. To do even the smallest part in his film would be a big achievement,” he shared. And when asked about remaking the filmmaker’s film, the actor said. “Honestly, when we started with this film, we never thought of it as a remake. That film was made in 2005 and was in Telugu. So not many people must have watched it in the country. Our film is based in today’s time and is pitched at a much bigger scale. When we decided to do it, we wanted to make it as a new film and thus wouldn’t call it a remake.”

The action drama by Pen Movies will premiere on May 12.
