Avika Gor’s 1920: Horrors of the Heart is a super-duper success!
Actress Avika Gor is on cloud nine! Her debut Bollywood film 1920: Horrors of the Heart has been loved and how! According to sources, the film was made on a Rs 14 crore budget. It has already minted more than eight crores in theatres, while Zee has bought the TV/OTT right of the film!
“I couldn’t be happier looking at how people are loving the film,” says an ecstatic Avika. Known for her TV debut Balika Vadhu, where she played the young Anandi, Avika has surely pushed the envelope in her first Bollywood film, where she plays the lead.
“I have been getting so many messages on social media from the day the film was released and it is overwhelming. I wanted people to enjoy the film and my heart is full looking at the love around me. I want to thank every person who has taken out time for their busy schedules to go catch my film,” she says.
The horror film has been directed by Krishna Bhatt and produced by Vikram Bhatt, while Mahesh Bhatt has penned it. Avika shares the screen alongside actor Rahul Dev.
Besides Balika Vadhu, Avika is also known for her role as Roli in the show Sasural Simar Ka. The show gave her unparalleled success and fame. Subsequently, the actress moved to regional cinema. She made her Telugu debut, back in 2013, with the film Uyyala Jampala. Avika has been part of many regional films such as Cinema Choopistha Mava, Care of Footpath 2, Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, Raju Gari Gadhi 3 and Net. She has also done a Kazakh film called I Go to School.
