Animal Movie Review: Ranbir Kapoor's never seen action avatar, his role will scare; Bobby Deol is the biggest surprise element; not for the weak hearts

Ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Approximately 4.60 lakh tickets were sold during the opening day of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, which starred Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor among others. This marked the film's closing advances. After Jawan and Pathaan, these are the third-best sequences for a Hindi-language movie. Although the advancements are astounding, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer's day-to-day movement will be impacted because it will receive less exposure than the previously listed flicks. Because of its length and, of course, its conflict with Sam Bahadur, it receives less attention.

Anil Kapoor plays Balbir Singh, Ranbir Kapoor's father, in the movie, while Ranbir Kapoor plays the threatening part of Ranvijay Singh, a violent goon. Though Bobby Deol plays the role of villain. Ranvijay's wife, Geetanjali 'Geeta' Singh, is portrayed by Rashmika Mandanna. Triptii Dimri, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Shakti Kapoor, Prem Chopra, Suresh Oberoi, Ravi Gupta, Siddhant Karnick, and Saurabh Sachdeva are also members of the ensemble cast.

The complicated relationship between a father and son is central to the film's story. Balbir, who is highly respected by his son, unintentionally ignores him since he is often preoccupied with his profession. As he gets older, Ranvijay uses different techniques to get his father's attention, unintentionally creating an obsessive habit. In the end, this unrelenting need for acceptance turns him into a fearsome criminal who makes everyone around him fearful.

With a duration of 3 hours and 21 minutes, Animal stands out as one of the longer Indian films. The necessity for a full examination of the people, their motives, and the complexities of their universe is used by the filmmakers to defend this prolonged runtime. Remarkably, the movie received an A (adult) rating; this can be attributed to its strong graphic material, which highlights its mature topics.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga has once again done the work for which he is known. Killing and disturbing scenes are shown in the film from beginning to end. Sandeep Reddy Vanga has tried to show something similar to the level of violence shown in Hollywood films.

His direction as per the story is amazing. He has kept the story engaging from beginning to end. Your mouth may remain open watching the sequence before the interval. However, the real surprise will be seen in the climax.

There is no doubt that Ranbir Kapoor's never-seen action avatar has been seen in the film. He has proved why he is counted among the most talented actors of this generation. From a young boy to an elderly man, he has played the role very well with variety. Ranbir has appeared in such a violent form for the first time. There are some scenes which may even scare you after seeing them. Ranbir was already an expert in romance and drama, but in this film, he proved that he is no less than anyone in action. The action scenes are not what can be called ordinary.

Bobby Deol has given his all in a small role. As long as he remains on the screen, he creates a completely different atmosphere. Looking at Bobby's small role, only one thing comes to mind that his screen time should have been more. Rashmika Mandanna who played the role of Ranbir's wife, also did an amazing job. Anil Kapoor has been successful in showing his screen presence as always. Trupti Dimri has also emerged as a surprise element in the film.

A must-watch film!!!
