A movie based on Raj Kundra's porn case and imprisonment is in production: Reports

Raj Kundra was detained on July 19, 2021, by the Mumbai Police for allegedly creating and disseminating pornographic material using the Hotshots app. Two years later, a fresh rumour claims that a movie on Raj Kundra's 63 days in jail is currently in production.

Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj had already spoken out about the arrest in social media posts from the previous year, "One year today… released from Arthur Road. It's a matter of time. Justice will be served! The truth will be out soon! Thank you, well-wishers and a bigger thank you to the trollers you make me stronger (folded hands emoji)."

Sources now claim that a movie on Raj's arrest and stay in jail is in the works, and a release date announcement will be made shortly, according to a report by Pinkvilla. The insider further mentioned that Raj Kundra will play himself in the movie.

“The film will present an account of all that Raj Kundra experienced through his tenure in one of most over-crowded Jail – Arthur Road Jail. The director’s name has been kept under wraps for now, but Raj Kundra will be creatively involved in all aspects – from production to script,” the source added.

The film is expected to go on floors soon. “It will trace the entire journey of Raj Kundra – from the first reports of the allegations to the media reporting, time spent in jail to the bail. It’s more of a story from Kundra and family’s point of view,” the source also added.

Since being released on bail, Raj has maintained a low profile. Raj and Shilpa were married in 2009, and they share a daughter named Samisha and a boy named Viaan. Samisha was delivered through a surrogate in 2020, while Viaan was born on May 21.
