Renowned Social Activist Thejo Kumari Amudala Awarded Padma Bhushan

Renowned Social Activist Dr. Thejo Kumari Amudala received the Rashtriya Padma Bhushan Samman on April 27th,  2024. 

The award was bestowed upon her for contribution to the field of Social Service.

Dr. Amudala is a prominent global figure, social activist, and entrepreneur who was born in Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh in 1980. Her numerous achievements and efforts in the fields of social work, global peace and human rights have made her well-known throughout the world. In addition to her social work, she runs a very successful information technology, online marketing, and herbal treatment company. ThejasGroups, her organisation, has been in operation for more than 22 years.

Dr. Amudala is also a pageant winner and was crowned Taj Mrs. Universe in 2022.

At 43 years old, Dr. Amudala has been the recipient of awards globally. This includes the Rajiv Gandhi Icon Award, the Nelson Mandela Nobel Peace Award,  the Nightingale Sarojini Naidu Award, the Mother Teresa Humanity Award, and the Gandhi Peace Award. She is also an alumni of the Indian Institute of Management and has received an honorary doctorate. 

Her commitment to global peace and human rights is the prime focus of her social work. This dedication to creating a peaceful world and harmony between all people is extremely commendable. She has gained recognition all over the world as a result of her accomplishments in the area. As a result, she also serves as President of the World Human Rights Protection Commission India. In addition, Dr. Amudala has been awarded the esteemed Bharat Gourav Rathna Naari Samman and is a member of the United Nations Global Peace Council.

She is also a published author with her articles featured in various journals.

The list of awards received by her also include  Indira Gandhi International Seva Rathna, APJ Abdul Kalam Award, Jawaharlal Nehru Global Peace Award, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Award, Dada Saheb Phalke Icon Award, and Dr B.R. Ambedkar Award.

She has also been a two time entrant in the South Asian Regional Countries Brilliance Award & Cultural Summit's World Book of Star Records. Dr. Amudala was chosen because of her outstanding contributions to a range of services and her well-known status as a female social service activist. World Book of Star Records awarded her an excellence medal for her outstanding solo achievement and significant national services in the social activist category.

A pride of India, her work in the field of social service both home and abroad has made her shine brightly across the globe. Her work makes her a very well deserved recipient of the Rashtriya Padma Bhushan Samman as she shows unparalleled dedication and passion to uplift the members of the society and continues her work with boundless zeal and energy.
