OMG!! Versatile actor Chris Hemsworth is at high risk of getting Alzheimer's!

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Chris Hemsworth, an actor, has acknowledged that he may have a higher chance of acquiring Alzheimer's. The startling information was revealed in an interview. The actor, Chris Hemsworth, claimed that while having standard testing for the making of a new docuseries that will be shown on Disney Plus, he discovered that he is genetically prone to the illness. Before starting a film career in Hollywood, the 39-year-old Australian actor gained notoriety for his role as Kim Hyde in the television series Home and Away.

The actor claimed to have found out he possesses two copies of the APOE4 gene, which has been associated with a higher chance of developing Alzheimer's disease. He emphasised that it is not an official diagnosis of Alzheimer's and that he is not certain to contract the illness, but it is nonetheless a reason for concern.

"It's like one in a thousand people... or one in 10,000. I can't remember. But eight to 10 times more likely," he told Vanity Fair, jokingly adding, "Since you told me that, I feel like my memory's getting worse. It's a placebo effect-or it's taking place."

"My concern was I just didn't want to manipulate it and overdramatise it, and make it into some sort of hokey grab at empathy, or whatever, for entertainment. It's not like I've been handed my resignation," he added.

Since his grandpa has Alzheimer's disease, Mr. Hemsworth said that the diagnosis did not come as a surprise.

The actor said the news forced him to face the reality of his own mortality. "Most of us, we like to avoid speaking about death. Then to all of a sudden be told some big indicators are actually pointing to this as the route which is going to happen, the reality of it sinks in. Your own mortality," he said.
