Amid Neha-Falguni war over song remake, both of them appear together for Indian Idol’s Garba night

Mumbai (Maharashtra): With the era of song remakes in vogue in today’s time, it clearly is Neha Kakkar who is at top of this game. With some of the most popular and iconic old songs turned into poppy and addictive remakes in her kitty, Neha knows what the youth wants.  Ut there are times when these remakes do not create their usual magic and end up with a bad reputation. Something similar happened with her recent song, O Sajna which was the official remake of Falguni Pathak’s most iconic number, Maine Payal Hai Chhankai.

The song did not go down well even with the original singer and there seemed to be a war emerging between the two. But to the shock of fans and netizens, a recent episode promo of Indian Idol 13 was published on the social media platform that showed Falguni Pathak joining the judges, Neha Kakkar and Himesh Reshammiya for a Garba night episode.

Released in a newspaper format, the episode that will be released this weekend during the theatre round, showcased the headline ‘Navratri ki shuruaat Neha aur Falguni ke saath!’. The video featured Neha wearing a pink lehenga choli and holding dandiyas as she introduced the Falguni Pathak on the show. It then transitioned to Neha, Himesh and the host, Aditya Narayan dancing around the Garba singer along with the participants, as she sang her iconic songs.

Netizens found this development fishy as many questioned the legitimacy of Falguni and Neha’s fight. One user wrote, “Song ko famous karvane ke liye kya kya karte hai yeh log....pehle social media par lad ke attention grab karte hai phir ek sath TV par perform karte hai. Kya dikhava hai yaar.” Another netizen wrote, “Ye log bas public standards ke liye karte hai.”

Recently, Falguni shared screenshots of people’s stories that dissed Neha Kakkar’s O Sajna song. The singer also made her disapproval of the song vocal during a recent interview and said, “I got to know about the remixed version three-four days back. The first reaction was not good. I was like, mujhe bas ulti aani baaki thi, aisa ho gaya tha.” Neha Kakkar took an indirect dig after this where she praised herself for her self-made journey and recalled the things she did to come this far.
