Quota for cops’ kids in Raj universities

Jaipur: In the government and private universities and colleges in the state, seats have been reserved for the children, wives, and widows of the personnel of Rajasthan Police on the same lines as the personnel of the Army and paramilitary forces.

This is also applicable to retired police personnel. Director-General of Police ML Lather said that in November 2021 a correspondence was made with the State Government by the Police Headquarters to incorporate the same facility on par with the Army and the Paramilitary Forces. DGP Lather said that in the admission policy issued by the College Education Rajasthan Department for the academic session 2022-23 on Tuesday, 3% of the seats for the personnel and former personnel of the Indian Army and Central Armed Forces are now reserved for the personnel of Rajasthan Police and former personnel, children and wives.
