"Whatever he says in his speech is an insult to former Prime Minister..." Congress' Pramod Tiwari criticizes PM Modi's election speech

New Delhi: Congress leader Pramod Tiwari has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, criticizing the content of his election speeches. He stated that whatever PM Modi says in his speech during the elections, is an insult to the former Prime Minister.
"The Prime Minister of India forgets the dignity of his position and whatever he says in his speech during the elections, is an insult to the former Prime Minister, the Prime Ministerial post and the Constitution," Tiwari said.
He went on to challenge PM Modi to substantiate his claims about the Congress party's manifesto.
"I challenge the Prime Minister to show the page in our manifesto, to show the line where we have said that we will collect from everyone and give it to the Muslims. But the problem is that for the Prime Minister, the Hindu-Muslim topic is like oxygen," Tiwari said.
He further said, "After being badly beaten in the first round and falling far behind, the Prime Minister is panicking, which is evident. He should accept my challenge; otherwise, he should apologize to the country or the country's voters should punish him for lying."
Earlier, in a scathing attack on Congress in Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday claimed that the Congress's manifesto talks about taking stock of "the gold of mothers and sisters" and distributing that wealth, adding that the then Manmohan Singh government had said Muslims have the first right to the country's assets.
"Their Mangalsutra, the question is not of the cost of gold in it, it is linked to her dreams of her life. You are talking of snatching it in your manifesto...will distribute gold and redistribute. When it was their government, they had said that Muslims have the first right over the country's wealth. Who will you distribute after collecting the wealth, distribute it to those who have more children, and distribute to infiltrators. Will the money of your hard labour be given to infiltrators, is this acceptable to you? Congress manifesto is saying that they will calculate the gold of mothers, sisters and then redistribute the wealth to those whom the Manmohan Singh government had said that the first right to resources is of Muslims. Brothers, sisters, this thinking of urban Naxals, my mothers, sisters, they will not allow even your Mangalsutra remain in your possession, they will go to this extent," PM Modi said.
PM Modi was referring to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's remarks made in December 2006 that the minorities, particularly Muslim minorities, should have first claim on the country's resources.

"The leaders of the BJP are speaking of finishing the Constitution again and again. It is a Constitution written by Baba Saheb Ambedkar, not by some random Baba. No one has the power to change it. They are not capable of doing it," Yadav said speaking at a INDIA bloc rally at Ranchi.
