Nepali national stabbed to death by own friend in Delhi's Munirka

New Delhi: A Nepali national was stabbed to death by his friend after a heated argument in New Delhi’s Munirka, police said.

According to the Delhi Police, on September 9 at 5:48 AM, information was received through a PCR call at Police Station Kishangarh that a person had been stabbed.

After verifying the facts, police revealed that the deceased Robin Shrestha, a Nepali citizen, aged about 25 years was staying in Munirka with his girlfriend for about 2 years. He was working at a call centre in Noida.

Robin had invited his friend Mingchand alias Jimmy to his house as his wife and son were not well and there was no AC in Jimmy’s house.

Police said further that Jimmy was residing nearby in Munirka village on rent for the last two years. He consumed alcohol in Robin’s house and started abusing and assaulting his own wife. Heated arguments took place and eventually, Jimmy took a knife and stabbed Robin in his chest at around 4:30 AM.

Robin's girlfriend and her friend took Robin to Safdarjung hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police said the accused Mingchang alias Jimmy has been apprehended. He is a resident of Manipur and belongs to the Naga tribe. (ANI)
