"Meeting went positively...maybe a solution in 1-2 days" : Shiv Sena's Shambhuraj Desai on Mahayuti meet in Delhi
Mumbai: As the Mahayuti alliance continues to deliberate over the pick for the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Shiv Sena leader Shambhuraj Desai said that the meetings with leaders in Delhi went "positively" he expects that clarity on the state cabinet will be arrived at within 1-2 days.
When asked about the meeting between Mahayuti leaders, Amit Shah and JP Nadda, Desai told ANI, "In the meeting, discussion took place regarding the whole election victory, the campaigning of the alliance, how did we get such a huge margin of victory. Then also how the upcoming govt should be formed, who will play what role. I think that within 1 or 2 days there will be a final solution which comes out."
Earlier today, Maharashtra Caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, NCP leader Ajit Pawar, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis and other Mahayuti leaders met with BJP national president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The leaders gathered to deliberate on the formation of the new government.
Shambhuraj Desai highlighted that all the opinions by Shiv Sena leaders were put in front of Amit Shah and JP Nadda, with the Mahayuti leaders might prepare a draft document on the upcoming government formation too.
"We have put forward the opinions of Shiv Sena leaders in front of the senior leaders of Mahayuti including Amit Shah. Either Mahayuti leaders will sit in Maharashtra and prepare a draft, or from Delhi, senior leaders of NDA in Delhi will find a solution."
Earlier, Eknath Shinde reiterated that there were no obstacles regarding the Chief Minister post and that 'Ladla Bhai' is a designation higher than anything else for him.
"I cleared my role in the press conference yesterday that there are no obstacles regarding the Chief Minister of Mahayuti. This 'ladla bhai' has arrived in Delhi and the 'ladla bhai' is a designation higher than anything else for me," Shinde told the meeting.
Shinde had said on Wednesday that he would accept any decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the CM face for the state.
"I have told the Prime Minister that if my presence creates any obstacle in forming the government in Maharashtra, there should be no hesitation in making a decision. Whatever decision you take will be acceptable to me," Shinde said during a press conference in Mumbai.
BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis also asserted that the Mahayuti alliance had no internal differences and that a decision on the Chief Minister would be made soon after consulting the leaders.
