Lok Sabha polls: Important seats to watch for in the country

There are 10 Lok Sabha seats of India regarding which everyone will be eager to know the result on June 4. In some of these constituencies veterans of the country are contesting elections and on others, there is a political feud between the families of veterans. Let’s take a look at 10 most popular seats of the country and their candidates.

Varanasi: PM Narendra Modi is in the fray from this constituency, which is considered the spiritual capital of the country while Congress has fielded Ajay Rai here.

Gandhi Nagar: Country’s Home Minister Amit Shah is contesting from Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat. Even in the past, a PM, two CMs and a Home Minister have contested elections from this seat.

Wayanad: Rahul Gandhi is in the fray from Wayanad, Kerala. CPI’s Annie Raja is giving him a tough fight here.

Raebareli: This was the constituency of late Indira Gandhi, now her grandson Rahul Gandhi is in the fray while BJP has fielded Dinesh Pratap Singh from here.

Baramati: The competition between aunt and sister-in-law is much discussed in Baramati, Maharashtra as Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule and Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra Pawar are in the fray.

Hyderabad: AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi, who has been invincible for twenty years in Hyderabad, is once again hitting the mark. However, Dr. Madhavi Latha from BJP has brought interest in the elections this time.

Coimbatore: In South India, BJP is trying very hard to make the lotus bloom. From Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, BJP has placed its bets on its famous face and former IPS officer K Annamalai. DMK has fielded Mayor Ganpati Rajkumar here.

Kadapa: There is not much for BJP in Kadapa, Andhra, but here the contest between sister and cousin is interesting. Congress has fielded YS Sharmila as its president and sister of Opposition CM Jagan. So YSR Congress has brought forward Sharmila’s cousin Avinash Reddy.

Sandeshkhali: This parliamentary seat of West Bengal is in the news. While BJP gave ticket to Rekha Patra with the political message of being helpful to women, TMC also adjusted its strategy and placed its bet on Nurul Islam by changing the ticket.

Trivandrum: Congress’s Shashi Tharoor, who dreams of becoming MP for the fourth time from Kerala’s Trivandrum, is in the fray while BJP has tried to make the contest interesting by fielding Union Minister Rajeev Chandra Shekhar.
