Kirodi Lal Meena’s political moves spark speculations

Jaipur/New Delhi: After resigning from the cabinet minister post, Kirodi Lal Meena met BJP’s national president JP Nadda in Delhi on Friday and this has created ripples in the political circles. Meena resigned after BJP’s defeat in Dausa in the Lok Sabha election. According to sources, he might retain the minister’s post, get an influential post like Deputy Chief Minister in the government or the post of BJP state president.

Meena is likely to visit Delhi again to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Home Minister Amit Shah. If he becomes the state president, he would be the first from ST category to be given the post. It gains significance as Meena is considered to be the traditional vote bank of Congress.

As a Deputy Chief Minister, important ministries may be handed over to him or he might be given some other important responsibility.
