CM Sharma inspects progress work of Raj House construction

New Delhi: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma inspected Bikaner House, Udaipur House and the under-reconstruction Rajasthan House in Delhi on Thursday. While inspecting the reconstruction work of Rajasthan House located on Prithviraj Road, the Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to speed up the work and complete it on time.

Sharma said that along with the time limit, special attention should also be paid to quality in the construction work. It is noteworthy that the construction work of the new Rajasthan House, which started during the previous Ashok Gehlot government, is targeted to be completed by next March. During the inspection, the officials gave the Chief Minister an overview of the building and apprised him of the progress of the construction work of Rajasthan House being built for Rs 136 crore.

They told the Chief Minister about the history of the new Rajasthan House that the Rajasthan House being reconstructed in 7050 square meters is a state guest house of the Rajasthan government. The artistic architectural style of Rajasthan will be beautifully coordinated in its reconstruction. Also, Dholpur sandstone cladding work will be done on the outer wall of the building. Provision of two basements, ground floor and 6 floors has been made in the new Rajasthan House. Parking will be made in the basement of the building and the lobby, cafeteria, waiting area, dining area, fountain, hanging chandelier, atrium etc. will be made in the main building. On the first floor, facilities like a conference hall, library and gym terrace garden, party hall, yoga room etc. will be available on the roof.
