Rising Rajasthan: What the leaders and experts said on Day 3 of summit

Jaipur: Addressing the inaugural session of the MSME Conclave on Day 3 of Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024, Industries and Commerce Minister, Rajasthan, Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore emphasized the pivotal role of MSMEs in shaping Rajasthan’s economy.

Contributing nearly 25% to the state’s GDP, sectors such as textiles, handicrafts, tourism, and ceramics are key drivers of job creation and workforce upskilling across the state.

Addressing the MSME Conclave on Day 3 of Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024, Prakash Chandra, Akhil Bhartiya Sanghtan Mantri, Laghu Udyog Bharati, commended the government’s proactive approach under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. 

He noted that through extensive consultations with MSME stakeholders, the government has reaffirmed its commitment to overcoming challenges and driving growth in this critical sector.

Speaking at the MSME Conclave on Day 3 of  Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024, Ghanshyam Ojha, Akhil Bhartiya Adhyaksh, Laghu Udyog Bharati, highlighted the immense potential of Rajasthan's MSME sector. 

He noted that with 31 lakh MSMEs employing over 1 crore people, the sector's rapid growth will be instrumental in achieving a ‘Viksit Rajasthan’ in the near future.

Speaking at the Valedictory Session of the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024, Diya Kumari, Deputy Chief Minister, expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inaugurating the summit. 

She quoted the Prime Minister, who described Rajasthan as ‘reliable’ and ‘receptive,’ open to adapting new changes and capable of leading the growth engine towards the goal of ‘Viksit Rajasthan'.

Speaking at the MSME Conclave on Day 3 of Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024, Auguste Tano Kouame, Country Director for India, World Bank, highlighted Rajasthan’s vast potential for sustained double-digit growth in the coming decades. 

He emphasized that under PM Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047, a ‘Viksit Rajasthan’ will play a pivotal role in realizing this ambitious goal.

Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan

Addressing the Valedictory Session of Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced plans to establish an advanced technological lab at premier institutions such as IIT Jodhpur, aimed at empowering youth with global language skills. 

He also commended the remarkable investment proposals secured during the summit, highlighting the pivotal role of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s visionary leadership in shaping Rajasthan’s promising future.

At the MSME Conclave, during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma highlighted key benefits under RIPS 2024, including interest subsidies, employment generation incentives, and electricity duty exemptions for MSMEs. 

With the new MSME Policy 2024, manufacturing and service sectors are eligible for additional subsidies, ensuring stronger support for innovation and growth.

He emphasized that with the successful conclusion of the summit, Rajasthan has firmly positioned itself as a premier global investment destination, paving the way for a prosperous future.
