Salman Khan writes a heartfelt note for stunt double who passed away

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Actor Salman Khan mourned the death of his body double Sagar Pandey and shared a heartfelt note on his social media, thanking him for his hard work. Sagar Pandey was Salman Khan's body double in more than 50 films which included films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Tubelight, and more. The news was further confirmed by Prashant Walde, the body double of Shah Rukh Khan.

Sharing a picture of them together on the sets of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman Khan wrote, "Dil se shukar adda kar raha hoon for being there with me. May your soul rest in peace brother Sagar. Thank you, #RIP #Sagar Pandey".

Prashant confirmed with Bollywood Hungama that Sagar passed away while working out in the gym. He was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. "Sagar was working in the gym when he suddenly collapsed. He was immediately taken to Hindu Hruday Samrat Balasaheb Thackerey Trauma Care Municipal Hospital at Jogeshwari East, Mumbai. That’s where he was declared dead. I am quite shocked. He was perfectly fit and healthy. He was too young to pass away. His age must have been around 45-50 years," Prashant revealed.

The 50-year-old had stated in a previous interview that he was the eldest among five brothers and took the responsibility of their entire expenses. Originally from Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Sagar moved to Mumbai to become an actor. After failing to secure a role, he worked as the stunt double for Salman Khan with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai being his first film.
