Prabhas recalls memorable first day with Megastars Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan on ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ set

Celebrated as one of the biggest Pan-Indian stars, Prabhas is set to create history as ‘Bhairava’ in the upcoming magnum opus ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Sharing the screen space for the first time with megastars Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, the actor will be seen in an intriguing avatar, a glimpse of which will be seen in his upcoming prelude ‘B&B’ series for the film on Amazon Prime Video. Speaking of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, Prabhas recalled his first day on set with Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan.

Sharing the fond memory, Prabhas said, “I went to Kamal Haasan Sir’s shoot on the first day and it was really nice. I went to him and told him, ‘I just want to say hi to you sir’ and paid my respects. That same day, I met Amitabh Sir and touched his feet and he sweetly said, ‘Don’t do that.’ Since then, whenever I meet him, we shake hands instead. (Smiles)”

Featuring an ensemble star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in key roles, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. A multilingual, mythology-inspired sci-fi spectacle set in the future, the film hits the screens on 27th June 2024.
