AKSHAY KUMAR gets MERCILESSLY trolled for his upcoming Marathi debut; Netizens say, “Lo aur ek character kharab kar dega…”

Mumbai (Maharashtra): For the upcoming Marathi historical drama "Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat," Bollywood actor Khiladi Akshay Kumar and director Mahesh Manjrekar have worked together. In the movie, which Vaseem Qureshi is producing, the actor will be seen in the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The Laxmii actor released the movie's poster and the initial filming schedule on Tuesday. The historical action drama has begun filming in Mumbai. However, because of the commercial failure of his film Samrat Prithviraj, netizens brutally trolled Kumar.

The 55-year-old actor took to his Instagram handle and shared the poster from the Marathi period drama and wrote, “Starting the shoot of Marathi film 'Vedat Marathe Veer Daudl e Saat' today, in which I am fortunate to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ji. I will try my best to take inspiration from his life and with the blessings of Maa Jijau! Keep blessing.” Shortly after this, people started trolling him in the comments section. One netizen wrote, “lo ab ek aur iconic character ko kharab karega ye”. Another user wrote, “Bhai pls…tu mat ker ye…ek aur character ko kharab ker dega …Jese Prithviraj Chauhan”.

It's interesting to note that the June 3 release of the Akshay-starring movie ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ failed miserably at the box office. The historical play, which Chandraprakash Dwivedi directed, was produced after 18 years of research and was based on the reign of Rajput monarch Prithviraj Chauhan.

In addition to Jay Dudhane, Utkarsha Shinde, Vishal Nikam, Virat Madke, Hardik Joshi, Satya, Akshay, Nawab Khan, and Praveen Tarde, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat, the next film starring Mahesh Manjrekar, also has Utkarsha Shinde and Praveen Tarde. On Diwali 2023, it will be released in theatres in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
