Bollywood stars Salman Khan, Jr. NTR, Sonu Sood, Vivek Agnihotri, and others express their sorrow over the Odisha train accident

Odisha Train tragedy: On Friday night, India was the scene of a horrific train tragedy that drew condolences from all over the world in large numbers. In a terrible sequence involving three trains, in the Balasore region of Odisha, over 230 persons were murdered and over 900 were wounded. Three trains collided horrifyingly in succession in the Balasore area of Odisha during this terrible disaster. After hearing about the event, Bollywood stars Salman Khan, Kirron Kher, Sonu Sood, Vivek Agnihotri, and others conveyed their sorrow.

Salman Khan tweeted, "Really saddened to hear abt the accident,May God rest the souls of the deceased in peace,Protect n give strength to the families n the injured from this unfortunate accident."

Actress-turned-politician Kirron Kher expressed, "Saddened to hear about the disastrous train accident at Balasore in Odisha. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families. I pray for speedy recovery of the injured."

Junior NTR  tweeted, "Heartfelt condolences to the families and their loved ones affected by the tragic train accident. My thoughts are with each, and every person affected by this devastating incident. May strength and support surround them during this difficult time."

Sonu Sood tweeted a picture of the accident location along with the emoji of a broken heart. 

On the other hand, Vivek Agnihotri questioned who is responsible for three trains colliding with each other, as he extended condolences. "Tragic and very shameful. How can 3 trains be involved in this age and time? Who is answerable? Prayers for all the families. Om shanti."

After the event, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw visited the accident scene and assessed the situation in one of the bloodiest incidents in the nation. Following the submission of the Commissioner of Railway Safety's report, the reason for the train disaster in Odisha will be revealed. 200 ambulances, 50 buses, and 45 mobile health units, in addition to 1,200 employees, were working at the disaster site, according to Bhubaneswar officials. 

The Indian Army has also mobilised to help in the rescue effort. Speaking to the media, Colonel SK Dutta stated that additional troops are arriving from Kolkata and that the Army has been actively involved in rescue efforts since last night.
