After his father's passing, Ayushmann Khurrana writes a heartfelt note on his official Instagram account

Popular astrologer P Khurrana, father of Bollywood stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurrana, passed away on May 19. Aparshakti's spokesman officially announced P Khurrana's passing in a statement. According to the announcement, Astrologer P Khurana, the father of actors Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurana, passed away this morning at 10:30 am in Mohali as a result of a protracted, incurable illness. We are grateful for your prayers and support at this difficult time. At Chandigarh's Manimajra Cremation Ground, he received his last rites. Ayushmann Khurrana sent an emotional message on his Instagram account a few days after his father passed away, paying tribute to him and thanking him for all the wonderful memories.

Ayushmann Khurrana posted a few images from the prayer gathering on Instagram. In the first image, Ayushmann and Aparshakti can be seen gripping their mother's hands next to a large photograph of P Khurrana. The portrait of Ayushmann's father in the following image has the words "1950-2023 Sh. P. Khurrana will live in our hearts forever" inscribed beneath it. The last picture shows a mason jar filled with sweets, and the tag on the jar reads, “This is my favourite sweet. Hope you like it too. P. Khurrana.” Ayushmann Khurrana stated in his caption that he has never before felt as though his father is both far away and extremely close to him. He continued by thanking him for his love, humour, upbringing, and the priceless memories they had made together over the years.

Arjun Kapoor commented on Ayushmann's post and wrote, "His aura was strong and calm… always loved interacting with him… strength with u all," while Bhumi Pednekar wrote, "Sending you tons of love." 

Tahira Kashyap, the wife of Ayushmann Khurrana, also uploaded a video on her Instagram account, recounting all the wonderful times they had with P Khurrana. She may be heard reading some kind things she penned for her father-in-law as she describes how she first met him and the wonderful times they had together.In her caption, she wrote, "Papa A relationship since I was in high school. I remember all my firsts. The first time I came to your home which had a full filmi family picture. To the first time I used my salary in college to gift you and mama a portrait that I got made from an artist to impress you. The time I struggled to call you papa and then it just didn’t leave. The first time I had heard that you were absolutely cool with me not shifting my base after marriage. You respected my family, broke all traditions and let me stay happy. Tahira further added, "There have been many firsts. But this first I am about to mention perhaps was the last. Just 2 days back I was going through your things and saw you kept the magazine which had my cover. This was clicked many years back but you treasured it and I never knew. Breaks my heart to not have the hero around to the boy I love the most. I haven’t met perhaps never will meet someone like you. I will never forgot your laughter, we’ll miss you papa."
