Assembly polls: Raj leaders in huddle with high command

New Delhi: The meeting of the BJP Central Election Committee was held in New Delhi on Sunday in the presence of PM Narendra Modi. Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and JP Nadda were also present in the meeting. The seats of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh were discussed in the meeting.

Vasundhara Raje, Bhupender Yadav, Pralhad Joshi, Arun Singh, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, CP Joshi, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Kailash Choudhary, Rajendra Rathore, Om Mathur, Satish Poonia were present from Rajasthan.

According to sources, about 40 assembly candidates will be approved from Rajasthan after the meeting. According to sources, the name of Rajya Sabha MP Kirodilal Meena from Sawai Madhopur is in the panel. The name of Omdas Maharaj from Didwana is almost certain, said sources.

The discussion was held on seats including Sri Ganganagar, Kolayat, Bhadra, Sadulpur, Sardarshahar, Jhunjhunu, Nawalgarh, Hindauli, Nathdwara, Kushalgarh, Osian, Phalodi, Sojat, Ladnun, Didwana, Barmer, Gudamalani, Jhadol, Vallabhnagar, Tijara, Banasur, Nagar and other seats.
