Women in large numbers will attend rally: Meghwal

Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public rally in Jaipur on Monday. The event will mark the culmination of four Parivartan Yatras which were taken out across the state in view of the upcoming assembly elections.

Union Minister of State Arjun Ram Meghwal said that women in large numbers will attend the rally to thank Modi for the women’s reservation bill. He said that 42 blocks have been made in ‘Parivartan Sankalp Mahasabha’ and each block will be commanded by a woman.

“PM Modi will arrive at the rally in an open jeep, with women on both sides showering flowers in appreciation,” he told reporters here.Modi will also pay tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on his birth anniversary in Dhankya village before addressing the public rally in Dadiya village.

Accusing the Congress of misleading the people regarding women’s reservation bill, Meghwal said that Congress could not muster courage to pass women’s reservation bill during the UPA government’s rule as it was afraid of losing power.

“Congress could not muster courage in the Lok Sabha. On one side there was power and on the other side there was bill. They thought that they would lose power so they dropped the bill,” he said. Meghwal also hit out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for stating that only 3 out of 90 secretaries in the central government were from the OBC.
