Jaipur: The 19-year-old accused of murdering 55-year-old school teacher Vigya Devi Sharma, the sister of SDM Jaipur Yugantar Sharma, was on Tuesday remanded to three days of police custody for further investigation.

The accused Krishna Kant Sharma was produced before a local court where the magistrate remanded him to the police remand.

SHO Shiprapath Mahaveer Singh Rathore said that the accused is a class 12th student in a private school and his father Vijay Kumar Sharma is a dog trainer. Primary investigation reveals that the accused is a rogue and had attempted to steal the victim’s mobile a few months back from her house but he was caught. His family members repented after which no police case was filed. He also had allegedly stolen the ATM card of his grandfather and withdrew cash. The accused had misbehaved with women earlier in the colony.
