Hathras Case: SIT team can submit report to Uttar Pradesh government on 16 October. In this case, it was said to submit a report to the government by October 17.
The investigation of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up by the UP government to investigate the Hathras case has been completed. The SIT team can submit the report to the government today (16 October). As per the pre-decided time, it was said to submit a report to the government by October 17 in this matter.
After the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath formed the SIT to investigate the Hathras incident. It was given a week's time, but the 3-member SIT headed by Home Secretary Bhagwan Swaroop was given 10 days more time to file the report.
This period is being completed on October 17. Actually, this decision was taken by the Home Department due to increasing scope of the investigation.
After the SIT submitted the initial report, CM Yogi suspended 5 policemen, including SP, CO of Hathras. The four accused in the case have been arrested and sent to jail.
In view of the protests of the aggrieved family and opposition parties, the CM constituted the SIT and summoned the investigation report. However, later the Chief Minister also recommended a CBI inquiry into the matter.
The CBI has taken over the investigation of the Hathras incident. The CBI team has been camping in Hathras for four days. During this time, the CBI team has also examined the victim's family and the family of the accused, besides inspecting the opportunity. A search operation has also been conducted in many places.
