Bhilwara/Jaipur: Despite best efforts by the doctors two victims in Bhilwara died of Covid-19 causing a stir from top to bottom.
Reacting strongly collector Rajendra Bhatt ordered taking over of five private hospitals by the govt. The move has been taken in view of the increased number of infected patients in the survey conducted by the health department. Meanwhile, Senior Assistant Rafiq Mohammad, who was posted in Bhilwara CMHO Office, has been suspended for being negligent.
Five private hospitals taken over by the administration are Ramsnehi Hospital, Siddhi Vinayak Hospital, Keshav Porwal Hospital, Soni Hospital and Arihant Hospital. Thursday started on a good note when the district hospital superintendent Arun Gaur and his team reported that the 3 patients diagnosed corona positive earlier were negative in last reports received. This happiness lasted short when 73 year old Narayan Singh was declared dead.
He was corona positive and had been brought to govt hospital from a private one where he was undergoing treatment for kidney failure. Narayan Singh went in to coma due to his kidney and high BP ailments. Medical college principal Dr Rajan Nanda said that he didn’t die of corona but will be cremated as per coronavirus victim protocol since he had reported positive. Meanwhile another suspect from Mandal diagnosed Covid-19 positive has taken the tally to 19 now out of 439 samples informed collector Rajendra Bhatt. Collector said that Brajesh Bangar hospital has been seized and one Km radius area has been declared zero mobility area. As of now there are 149 high risk and 3317 normal patients. Health officials have 80 bed isolation facility ready while is in process of setting up 4000 quarantine beds.
Curfew in Jaipur’s Ramganj after man tests positive for Coronavirus
Curfew has been imposed within one kilometer radius of Rahmani Mosque in Ramganj area after a man tested positive for Coronavirus here on Thursday. With this vehicular movement has been restricted here. The man had returned home from Oman recently.
Cases near 722, death toll at 20
Total number of COVID-19 cases in India has risen to 722, including 20 deaths, the Health Ministry said in its latest bulletin on Thursday. 88 new cases were reported in the country in a day, which is the highest jump of infections in a single day.
Rs. 100 Cr Relief Package for Bihar
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has announced a grant of Rs. 100 crores for coronavirus relief fund which will include shelter and food for labours, rickshaw pullers, roadside vendor and other poor people. He said that shelter camps will also be made along with the health facility.
Markets close on buoyant note
Market closed in the green for the third straight session on Thursday as the Nifty ended the March series above 8,600 level. Sensex surged 1,410.99 points or 4.94 percent to 29,946.77 while the broader Nifty was up 323.60 points or 3.89 percent at 8641.45 at close. IndusInd Bank was the top gainer in the Sensex pack soaring over 45 percent. The other major gainers included L&T, Bajaj Finance, Airtel, Bajaj Auto, Kotak Bank and HUL.
